The article provides an overview of the personal website of Saurav Tiwari, a software engineer and technical writer. It highlights his background, professional experience, and the various projects and blog posts he has published on his website.
After seeing countless developer portfolios with spinning logos, particle effects, and 8-second load times, I went the opposite direction.
Built saurav.dev with Next.js but kept it intentionally simple. 98 Lighthouse score overall, 100/100 for accessibility and SEO, WCAG 2.1 AA + GDPR compliant with proper cookie and privacy controls, sub-2 second loads via static generation.
My thesis: in a world of over-engineered portfolios, being the one that actually works IS the differentiator.
The irony: leveraged a modern framework to build something that feels deliberately minimal.
